Quick answer
Coordinate pouch barrier, liner, seal, carton, instructions, label text, artwork versions and print approval for a private-label microneedle eye patch.
Start with protection, not graphics
A dissolvable micro-array can be sensitive to moisture and handling. The primary pack must protect the patch through storage and distribution, keep the array from being crushed and support clean removal. Confirm pouch structure, liner or tray, patch orientation and sealing before setting retail carton dimensions.
Define the saleable unit
State whether one unit contains one pair, several individually sealed pairs or a regimen kit. Record the number of patches, pouch count, net contents expression, insert and accessories. Multi-pair cartons should not expose unused patches each time the box is opened.
Prepare the artwork content map
- Product identity and responsible business details
- Ingredient declaration and quantity presentation
- Directions, wear time, removal and disposal
- Warnings, storage and lot or expiry coding area
- Country-specific language, symbols and barcode
- Cosmetic claims supported for the finished product
The exact legal requirements depend on the destination market. In the United States, FDA publishes a cosmetics labeling guide; EU cosmetic products are governed by Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 and related requirements.
Control versions
Give every dieline and artwork file a code and revision. The approval record should identify approver, date, language and linked product specification. Lock variable-data positions and print tolerances. Withdraw obsolete files so an earlier claim or ingredient list cannot return during reorder.
Use physical proofs
Review dimensions, legibility, color, barcode scan, opening direction, patch loading and lot coding on a physical mock-up or production proof. Verify that pouch tears, seals and folds do not cover mandatory text. A screen PDF alone cannot demonstrate pack handling.
Manage print quantities and changes
Ask for minimums and lead times for each printed component. Decide ownership of unused stock, destruction of obsolete artwork and change notification. Do not over-order packaging before the product, claims and market review are stable.
